Abstract

This paper “Introduction of Web OS for the Improvement and Performance of Mobile Environment using Cloud and Grid Computing” aims at providing  users an efficient way of accessing an Operating System Stored on a remote server. The users can access it from anywhere either from home or from office. The main advantage of this project is that the system needs only a minimum configuration with an internet connection and a web browser to access the server. In this paper we introduce Web OS - Operating System on www. The Key aspect of Web OS is that the software is installed only on a server which can be accessed by multiple users from various locations. For Performance improvement we use the concept of Grid Computing to share the load across multiple computers to complete task more efficiently and quickly. Finally this project will help out people who don’t have computers at home can access the Web OS. even from an Internet Browsing centre and can run various applications.

Abstract

Firewalls are the most deployed medium on the Internet for securing private networks from unwanted intruders. The volume of traffic moving over the Internet, as well as corporate networks, is expanding exponentially every day. As social dependence on such information systems continues to grow exponentially, a similar growth in threats is concurrently taking place. A firewall checks each incoming or outgoing packet to decide whether to accept or discard the packet based on its assigned policy. Optimizing these policies is crucial phase to enhance the performance of the network. Existing work on firewall optimization focuses on either intrafirewall or interfirewall optimization within one administrative domain where the privacy of firewall policies is not a concern and cross domains where when used with various network address translation devices made it a problem. This project explores interfirewall optimization across administrative domains along with NAT devices for the first time. The key technical challenge is that firewall policies cannot be shared across domains because a firewall policy contains confidential information and even potential security holes, which can be exploited by attackers. Here, we propose the first cross-domain privacy preserving cooperative firewall policy optimization protocol along with Network Address Translation devices. Particularly, for any two adjacent firewalls belonging to two different administrative domains, our protocol can identify in each firewall the rules that can be removed because of the other firewall and optimization process involves cooperative computation between the two firewalls without any party disclosing its policy to the other.

Abstract

The object representation and tracking is one of the important tasks in computer vision. The object can be represented in various ways and in this paper the objects are represented using the properties of the HSV color space. Adaptive k-means clustering algorithm was applied to cluster objects centroids color values and co-ordinates were sent to next frame for clustering. After clustering, for comparing the objects present in both the reference frame and the target frame, a similarity measure was proposed which uses position, color and size of the objects for comparison. Based on the similarity value, the objects were detected and tracked. The performance of the proposed approach was verified with human objects and the same was effectively tracked. The comparison was carried with similar methods and the results are encouraging.

Abstract

Reverse Phase HPLC method for the determination of nitazoxanide and ofloxacin in bulk and tablet formulations. The determination was carried out by using Phenomenex C18 column with 0.24% sodium lauryl sulphate:acetonitrile:acetic acid (pH-4.0) (58:40:02) as the mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.5 ml/min and the eluent was monitored at 295 nm. The Retention time of nitazoxanide and ofloxacin were 2.2 and 5.4 respectively. Linearity for the nitazoxanide and ofloxacin were found in the range of 400-600 μg/ml and 160-240 μg/ml respectively. The method was reproducible, with good resolution between nitazoxanide and ofloxacin and can be use for routine analysis.
